S’aimer (Self-love)

One of the most precious things I possess is my ability of perception, more specifically the perception I have about the world and myself. This perception has often alienated, humiliated, devalued, impoverished, and imprisoned me. Why not renew this ability and change its prism? This capacity to perceive belongs to me; it does not control me. If I so desire, I can rewrite the story of my life. Not in an embellished manner, but rather in a more realistic way. A perception of myself, my circumstances, and my surroundings that is fairer, more benevolent. Why not add to this prism a facet tinted with joy, appreciation for what we have, for what we already are, or for what we have always been? A clearer prism, thus radiating an impression of a lighter future, a future unburdened by excessive expectations. Why not cultivate the ability to perceive, or rather, to receive life as it is? A life that faces a peaceful self. No more anger, frustration, and war would then be necessary against this self. No reasons to fight against a self already fulfilled, incorruptible. Fulfilled by the infinite grandeur. The infinite grandeur, this entirety that welcomes me, that welcomes you, that welcomes us as we are. This self, this being, present and in becoming, but in serene becoming. A becoming carried, transported by the desire to live, the inner love and love for others.

So be it.
